Abstract
ObjectiveTo study the feasibility of phased discipline training and assessment in improving the quality of special training for interns during medical practice in medical colleges.
MethodsA total of 120 nursing students from the School of Medicine of Jiaying University in 2014 were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 60 students in each group by numerical table. The control group used the special training method during the regular internship, while the observation group adopted the phased training and evaluation method. The self-perception, comprehensive nursing ability evaluation results, evaluation of patients and nursing teachers during the internship and hospital entry were compared between the two groups of nursing interns.
ResultsThe self-feel good rate and nursing ability evaluation score 〔91.67%, (90.35±1.76)points〕of the observation group were better than those of the control group〔71.67%, (85.63±2.26)points〕, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The satisfaction rate of the supervisor and the satisfaction rate of the patients(95.00%, 90.00%) in the observation group were both higher than those in the control group(71.67%, 68.33%), and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The hospital entry rate of interns in the observation group(96.67%) was higher than that in the control group(75.00%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).
ConclusionsStaged training and evaluation method can improve the comprehensive nursing ability of nursing interns through the implementation of phased training, optimize the satisfaction rate of the mentor and patients during the internship, and improve the success rate of the interns' hospital entry, and the interns have a good feeling about the teaching method.
