Warming and scraping in treatment of patients with shoulder and neck pain of qi stagnation and blood stasis type

Abstract
ObjectiveTo observe the analgesic effect of warming and scraping in the treatment of patients with shoulder and neck pain of qi stagnation and blood stasis type.
Methods120 patients with shoulder and neck pain of qi stagnation and blood stasis type treated at our hospital form December, 2017 to August, 2018 were randomly divided into a blank group, a moxibustion group, a scraping group, and a warming and scraping group, 30 cases for each group. The blank group did not use the external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine. The moxibustion group were treated with moxibustion, the scraping group with scraping, the warming and scraping group with moxibustion, warming, and scraping. The effects of the 4 groups were observed.
ResultsThe total effective rate was 92.9% in the warming and scraping group, 57.1% in the blank group, 78.6% in the moxibustion group, and 67.9% in the scraping group (all P<0.05). After the treatment, the pain score was lower in the warming and scraping group than in the blank group, the moxibustion group, and the scraping group (allP<0.05).
ConclusionWarming and scraping in the treatment of patients with shoulder and neck pain of qi stagnation and blood stasis type is effective.
