Abstract
ObjectiveTo analyze the epidemic characteristics of notifiable infectious diseases in Sihui City from 2010 to 2019, and to provide scientific references for risk assessment and prevention and control strategies.
MethodsThe descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the epidemic data of notifiable infectious diseases in Sihui City from 2010 to 2019.
ResultsFrom 2010 to 2019, 33 435 cases of 28 kinds of notifiable infectious diseases were reported in Sihui, including 12 032 cases (35.99%) of category B infectious diseases, 21 403 cases (64.01%) of category C infectious diseases, and no case of category A infectious diseases. The average annual incidence was 609.78/100 000, the incidence decreased in 2010-2016, and increased in 2017-2019. The average annual incidence of blood borne and sexually transmitted diseases was 147.44/100 000, mainly hepatitis B, accounting for 62.89%(5 083/8 083). The average annual incidence of respiratory infectious diseases was 60.97/100 000, mainly pulmonary tuberculosis, accounting for 97.42%(3 252/3 338). The average annual incidence of intestinal infectious diseases was 9.86/100 000, and more than 50% were dysentery and hepatitis (unclassified), accounting for 29.78% (159/534) and 25.47% (136/534). The average annual incidence of natural foci and vector borne diseases was 1.40/100 000, and more than 50% were dengue fever and hemorrhagic fever, accounting for 40.26% (31/77) and 23.38% (18/77). The top 5 incidences of infectious diseases in Sihui City in 2010-2019 were hand-foot-mouth disease (247.91/100 000), hepatitis B (92.61/100 000), other infectious diarrhea diseases (71.32/100 000), tuberculosis (59.43/100 000), and influenza (29.63/100 000).
ConclusionThe focus of the prevention and control of notifiable infectious diseases in Sihui City is on hand-foot-mouth disease, pulmonary tuberculosis, other infectious diarrhea diseases, viral hepatitis B, dysentery, dengue fever, hemorrhagic fever, and other infectious diseases. The epidemic situation monitoring and vector monitoring should be strengthened, and prevention and control measures should be taken in advance.
