Abstract
ObjectiveTo study the clinical effect of dexamethasone ointment combined with tacrolimus ointment in the treatment of facial seborrheic dermatitis for a short course.
MethodsOne hundred and fifty-five patients with facial seborrheic dermatitis treated at The Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from October 2019 to July 2021 were selected as the research objects. According to the random number table method, the 155 patients were divided into a control group (78 cases) and an observation group (77 cases). The observation group had 39 males and 38 females, were (35.36±5.36) years old, and were treated with dexamethasone ointment and 0.1% tacrolimus ointment for a short course. The control group had 41 males and 37 females, were (35.34±5.56) years old, and were treated with 0.1% tacrolimus ointment. Both groups were followed up for 4 weeks. The treatment effects and adverse reactions in both groups were observed and analyzed.
ResultsThe total effective rate was 94.8% (73/77) in the observation group and 65.4% (51/78) in the control group (χ2=20.962, P<0.001). The incidence of adverse reactions was 6.5% (5/77) in the observation group and 25.6% (20/78) in the control group (χ2=8.418, P=0.004).
ConclusionDexamethasone ointment combined with tacrolimus ointment in the treatment of facial seborrheic dermatitis for a short course is effective, with a low incidence of adverse reactions, so it is worth being clinically generalized.
